This policy explains what personal data NannyLink collects, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, country, and your password (stored hashed, never readable).
- Nanny profiles: photo, intro video, nationality, city, experience, skills, languages, rates and WhatsApp number.
- Family requests: what you tell us in a concierge request, such as your children's ages, location, schedule and budget.
- Payments: amount, currency, status and date. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- Technical data: basic logs (such as IP address and browser) needed to run and secure the site.
How we use it
- To run your account, show nanny profiles and process payments.
- To review nanny profiles and prepare concierge shortlists.
- To send service emails: confirmations, password resets, receipts and status alerts.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who can see what
- Approved nanny profiles are public, except the WhatsApp number.
- A nanny's WhatsApp number is shown only to families who unlocked it (by payment, concierge shortlist, or as a courtesy from our team) and to our admins.
- Family details are visible only to the family and our admins.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run NannyLink, who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, login and file storage
- Stripe: payments
- Resend: email delivery
- Cloudflare: hosting and security
These providers may process data outside your country. They protect it under their own security and data-transfer safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you close your account we delete or anonymise the rest within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
NannyLink is for adults. We only hold information about children that parents choose to share in a concierge request, and we use it only to find a suitable nanny.
